The
Get Bent Belly Dancing
Teacher Training Program
is a course designed for
committed students who want
to share their knowledge,
experience and passion for
belly dance at Get Bent.
The Get
Bent Teacher Training
program is offered during the summer
months, and provides an
in-depth study of Get Bent's three main belly
dance styles. Further,
the Get Bent teacher
training programprovides a
full study of leadership and
teaching practices, anatomy, lesson
planning, learning styles,
psychology, Middle Eastern
and East Indian rhythms and counting,
belly dance history, traditions
and of course, Get Bent
signature Bollywood Belly
Dance techniques. Teachers-in-Training are
also taught how to implement
Get Bent's
mission, values and asset
building into
regular teaching practice.
This program is designed
specifically for experienced
Get Bent dancers who want to
share their enthusiasm and
experience of belly dance
with other students at the
school.
Instructor Development
Workshops
are for
individual teachers or
troupes that are looking for
more information a specific
topics. Sessions on
choreography (how different
shapes influence the
audience, how to map out
works for solos or a large
group), lesson planning for
a specific style, and how to
include and prioritize
physical development for
professional level dancers
are a few of topics
available. For a full

Alberta.
